The "Village Idiot" strikes again…

Sometimes I think my son’s dog’s mission is to increase my patience level.

Look ~

doesn’t he just look all sweet and cuddly there in my son’s lap?  I see the mischievousness in his eyes because I know it’s there, but do you?  Does he have you fooled?  Whatever you do, do not trust that sweet, adorable, troublesome face.

See, Ivan really is a smart dog.

Too smart.

However, as technically still a puppy, he has more energy than should be allowed by any one dog.  And, he tends to get a little, shall we say, um…hyper.  There is a couch on the second floor that he is allowed to be on (he knows the furniture downstairs is a no go).  Well, he got a tad-bit over excited the other night jumping onto that couch and here was the result…

Now, as it is still winter and thankfully it is still intact (so to speak), it will have to wait.  So, if no one, or K9, touches the window, I should be able to wait till it warms up to replace the window…which will not be easy.  Why?  Oh, only because this is a piece of 140 year old glass in a window frame that is definitely not square.  {sigh}

So, total Ivan damage:

*mudroom door

*two kitchen cabinet corners

*doorway trims

*a muck boot

*a telephone headset

*a spatula

oh, I think I’ll stop there, you get the idea.  He is a lean, mean chewing machine…

who gets kenneled when we are not home now. 🙂

At least until he outgrows this whole “chewing because I don’t want to be alone thing.”

Bless that dog…

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” ~ James 1:2-4

Patience is a virtue.

Be blessed.
